XM satellite radio service will broadcast a 48-hour marathon of The Bob Edwards Show. The show, set to coincide with the radio icon’s 60th birthday, will include some of the best moments from Edwards’ nearly three year’s on satellite, according to XM.

The Bob Edwards Show Marathon will include nearly 50 interviews with notable personalities from the worlds of politics, entertainment, publishing and the arts, including among others, actors George Clooney and Philip Seymour Hoffman, best-selling authors David McCullough and Maya Angelou, political figures Al Gore and Bob Dole, and journalists Walter Cronkite and Bill Moyers.

The marathon will be available through XM Radio Online, XM’s internet streaming service.

XM is promoting the marathon and the service by allowing listeners to register for a free three-day trial.
