NBC Universal has partnered with mobile video subscription service MobiTV to sell full-length episodes of prime time shows from its top networks. NBC U will also launch several new mobile video channels.

MobiTV delivers live linear feeds of TV networks to mobile subscribers, including NBC U’s CNBC and MSNBC, writes Mediaweek. The new deal creates a video on demand platform that will allow users to pay $1.99 to watch individual episodes of shows.

Later in the second quarter of this year, NBC plans to launch five channels on MobiTV that will feature free, ad-supported, short-form content from shows on Bravo, Sci Fi Channel, USA Network, Telemundo and mun2.
