In Houston, Arbitron PPM Data Becomes Currency Come June

Published on March 01, 2007 | Email this article

Arbitron will commercialize the PPM ratings service in Houston beginning with the June ratings report.

The Winter 2007 paper-based ratings report, to be released on May 4, will still be considered the currency in the market until the release of the June 2007 PPM ratings report on July 18, according to Arbitron.
The free PPM demonstration data will be discontinued after the release of the March 2007 PPM survey period. The PPM radio ratings reports from April 5 and May 6 will be considered pre-currency data, and will be released only to those stations and agencies that have signed a PPM license agreement.

Arbitron is commercializing the Houston PPM radio ratings service following the accreditation of the Portable People Meter radio ratings data in Houston by the Media Rating Council.
