Greenville, S.C. Gets Digital Billboard from Fairway

Published on February 19, 2007 | Email this article

Fairway Outdoor Advertising has unveiled a state-of-the-art electronic billboard in Greenville, S.C.

It marks the first of many digital billboards to come from Fairway, according to William S. Morris IV, president of Morris Communications Company, who says the company will roll out digital billboards in other Fairway markets in the Southeast.

The billboard is 14 ft. by 48 ft. and messages will change every eight seconds, giving advertisers message flexibility. The new billboard also permits advertisers to target their messages to specific days or certain times of the day.

Digital billboards have come under fire lately as some cities have placed a moratorium on the technology until studies can be conducted as to their safety.
