ComScore Developing Social Media Tracking System

ComScore Networks will build a database that will use a customized weighting and projection system in order to measure social media such as blogs and online communities.

The new initiative will help advertisers quantify the value of blog audiences, according to ComScore (via BtoB). ComScore is partnering with Federated Media, representative of more than 110 independent conversational media sites including Digg, PROTRADE, BoingBoing and Dooce.
