USPS, Unions Extend Talks Once More

Published on December 04, 2006 | Email this article

The U.S. Postal Service and its four largest unions continued contract talks on Friday despite a Nov. 30 deadline.

Despite the extended talks, at least one of the unions, the American Postal Workers Union, AFL-CIO, is saying that it has now directed its legal counsel to begin preparing for arbitration, writes DM News.

There has been no word on a new deadline. Negotiations between the USPS and the unions began in August.
