Harte-Hanks: Pharma/Healthcare Posts Double Digit Growth

Published on October 31, 2006 | Email this article

Direct marketing services agency Harte-Hanks posted a 4.6 percent increase in revenue in the third quarter over the same quarter last year.

But the company said that earnings declined nearly that much, by 4.2 percent.
The quarterly results showed the impact of a stock-based compensation expense of $1.9 million, writes Direct Magazine. Without that expense, operating income would have been flat.

According to Harte-Hanks CEO Richard Hochhauser, all vertical markets showed year-over-year growth. Pharma/healthcare topped other verticals with double-digit growth, while retail, high-tech/telecom and financial verticals were up in the low single digits.
