PBS Launches New Ad-Supported Channel

Cable and satellite systems nationwide are now carrying “PBS Kids Sprout,” a national 24-hour channel aimed at the very young that will carry ads, The New York Times reports. The channel will be fashioned out of reruns of classics such as “Sesame Street” and “Barney and Friends.”
