Arbitron announced yesterday that three more agencies have committed to using its radio audience estimates based on the portable people meter system when Arbitron deploys it, Radio Ink writes. The agencies are FogartyKleinMonroe, Love Advertising, and Mediagraphix Media Services.

Combined, the agencies represent Houston billings of over $266 million, Mediaweek reports. Houston is ground zero for the deployment of the PPM, which could go live as early as April. Other agencies that have committed to using the PPM include IPG, WPP Group, Mediacom, Publicis Groupe, and Aegis Group.

No radio groups have signed as of yet, but if enough agencies get onboard, it could force radio broadcasters’ hands. Cox Radio and Radio One have refused to participate.
