Klipmart Creates Six-Panel Streaming Ad Unit for Amp’d Mobile

Published on April 03, 2006 | Email this article

Klipmart, provider of online video advertising, has produced a new six-panel video ad unit to promote the Amp’d line of mobile phones. The six-panel ad with simultaneously streaming online video content is among the industry’s first wave of ads to include such an extensive collection of video content in a single unit.

Within the ad unit, users can click on any of the videos to view them on a larger screen with sound and music. The ad first presents a 3-D tour of various Amp’d models. The menu option “Amp’d Live” shows viewers the six streaming video panels. When clicking on a particular panel, viewers can watch and hear content which - at least on the section of the Klipmart site that features the ad -  includes “Naked News” and a sports screen with snowboarding scenes set to music.

The ad unit will run for a month on a variety of websites including Yahoo, Fox Sports, Maxim, CNET, Buy.com, and more.

Carat Fusion is handling the interactive media planning and buying for the Amp’d campaign, with Taxi providing creative direction and Klipmart spearheading creative production.
