WFAN to Stream Live, Finally

Published on April 10, 2006 | Email this article

WFAN 660AM out of New York will begin streaming live over the internet tomorrow, writes The Media Drop. “Considering it’s like one of the most widely-broadcast stations on the AM dial, this has some big implications,” according to the blog. The streaming will go live at 3 p.m. when the Mike & the Mad Dog show will be broadcast while the New York Mets game is played over the airwaves.

New York Newsday recently called WFAN’s Mike & the Mad Dog show “frustrating,” saying that “their egomania has risen with their salaries” and that they interrupt both fans and interview subjects “as much as ever.” However, the article says, “most sports talk radio makes WFAN seem like a Harvard lecture on thermal dynamics.”

WFAN’s popular Imus in the Morning show will also be available over the internet.
