NBC Considers Programming Change-up

NBC Entertainment President Kevin Reilly said he might switch around the network’s fall prime time schedule, with rumors circulating that Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip will make a move to Monday at 9 or 10, since ABC moved Grey’s Anatomy to Studio 60’s anticipated Thursday at 9 p.m. slot, writes Broadcasting & Cable.

“We can’t let it telescope too far from here,” said Reilly Friday, after all the networks had given their presentations. “We have some marketing decisions to make soon.”

Reilly continued, “The good news is, I don’t feel like we have everything riding on one show. We have a lot of irons in the fire. Plus, I still question if Grey’s is really going to be that big of a headache.”

If Studio 60 did move, it would free up an hour for NBC on Thursdays, leaving room for options like moving up shows now slated for midseason such as The Apprentice or substituting in a block of comedies, including Scrubs and new-comer The Singles Table.
