ChoiceMedia Rebrands, Launches 25 Niche Sites

Published on July 06, 2006 | Email this article

Christopher Schroeder, who helped found the Internet Advertising Bureau in the 90s, has relaunched health and medical science-focused content company ChoiceMedia as HealthCentral Network, while simultaneously launching 25 niche health websites, writes Mediaweek. Each site focuses on health information from medical professionals as well as a forum for connecting patients with one another.

The new, narrowly focused content sites include MyDiabetesCentral.com and MyDepressionConnection.com. Some of the sites have over 7 million unique users.

According to the HealthCentral Network, the award-winning content in each website “combines medically-reviewed original content from doctors, researchers, and expert patients, as well as news, information, video and other multi-media from leading authorities such as Ivanhoe.”
