Advertisers, Actors Agree on 6% Raise, New Media Coverage

Published on August 08, 2006 | Email this article

The actors unions and representatives of major national advertisers have reached a tentative agreement that extends the contract that governs the $2 billion worth of advertising in which actors appear through 2008.

If approved, the contract will cover all electronic and emerging media and performers will get a six percent pay raise, Adweek reports.

In addition, a committee will be formed by the unions and the advertisers, which will make adjustments to the agreement to accommodate changing technologies and “shifting paradigms” within the commercials industry.
