Newspaper Ad Decline Slows; Online Jumps 14% in Q2

The newspaper ad decline slowed in the second quarter of 2010, though ad spending still fell 5.6%, according to the Newspaper Association of America. Spending fell from $6.82 billion in the second quarter of 2009 to $6.44 billion in Q210. Online spending is on the rise again - up 14% - and online now represents almost 12% of total newspaper ad revenues.
